Mandana is an artist, curator and studio manager based in Brooklyn, New York.
For over fifteen years she has exhibited as an independent artist, and curated exhibitions for artist run initiatives, festivals, galleries and museums. From 2013- 2015 Mandana was senior curator at Queensland Museum. Collaborations with other artists have included commissioned artworks for public art sites, festival exhibitions, public programs and workshops.
Mandana Mapar is an art consultant with exhibition and project management skills gained as a curator and exhibitions officer for major collecting institutions since 2003. Her extensive background in research and conceptual development is combined with a refined artistic sensibility, broad knowledge of artistic process and astute business acumen.
Most notably she has provided curatorial advice, assistance and expertise for local and international exhibition projects including ey! Iran, Contemporary Iranian Photography, and Beyond and Between, A Painter's Journey.

Mandana has worked closely with renowned curator and photographer Michael Aird, artists Judy Watson and Denise Green, managing studio based research and conducting exhibition development. She has also worked extensively with commercial and public galleries, supporting other artists to strengthen existing networks and to forge new relationships with collectors and patrons.
